Very sweet and loving St. Bernard white and brown was picked up by animal control. He gets along well with other dogs and is a very quite dog. He is a male that is 1-2 years old and is looking for a new home because an owner never came forward.

October seventeenth is the last holding day for a basset hound and then he will be up for adoption. He is a male that is tri colored, gets along well with other small dogs (have not tried him with large dogs) and does not appear at all bothered by cats. He is not a howler like most bassets. He was found with a colorful collar, but without tags or microchip.

For more information call Eureka Animal Control.

Is the basset hound the one found at the GPP on the 13th of October? He was a cutie and we all fell inl love with him. It's so hard when you can't afford to adopt another dog. I don't see that he is at GSHS, has he been adopted or his owners found?

The Bassett actually has quite a story. Apparently he was initially found and reported to see if anyone claimed him. No one did so the people that found him decided that they were going to keep him. They had to go out of town and left him with a dog sitter, who lost him. Upon their arrival home they discovered the dog was gone (Bassett will get distracted following a sent and travel quite long distances). He was found at the passion play, and reunited with them.

I still have the St Bernard, but someone is suppose to be coming to look at him today, so hopefully he is a match for this mans 90 pound dog to be a playmate for.
