Found, a beagle, hound mix (maybe?) female, tri-color, young but grown and has had puppies before. Found in vicinity of DJ's drive in on 62 in Eureka. Appears very thin but getting better with food and clean water. This dog does not have a chip, collar or tags and appears to have been out on her own for awhile, but she does have tatoos and would love for her owners to see this and call Eureka PD at 479-253-8866 and Id tatoos and placement or Jan at 417-310-2555 and do same.

She was picked up by me, Eureka's new ACO for Eureka Springs om Monday,
6-2-08. She is very friendly and just wants to go home and get fed and loved.

It has been told to me that this dog is registered (tatoos) coon hound.
Her 5 days are up and she is ready for a new home, as no owners have come for her. Call Eureka Pd, 253-8666 or Jan 417-310-2555 to see or take and give a loving home to.

Folks, I have 4 dogs in custoday as of today, a basset, a coon hound, a Jack Russel and a Border collie. No more room and 1 is ready to go to new home, the Basset tomorrow and the others next week. I need help finding homes for these lost and abandoned souls, and I need anyone who could help foster for week or two. PD can hold no more dogs, and it is very sad to see them every day with no one special to love and care for them. They all have been someone's pets before and just lost or turned out to be on their own.

Please Help if you can, Jan at 417-310-2555:(

Jan, I didn't know until I read this thread that you are the new ACO! Of course you already know to work with the shelter!

Bassett Hound "Dolly" has a forever home now, she went to a rescue in Mo. and and had a home before she even got there, with 2 other Bassetts, and a great yard and people for her on the lake. a Win-Win for sure!
