I've grown some awesome borage and wondered if anyone would have a use for it. From what I understand, it's used in Germanic type cooking, sometimes in place of a cabbage leaf for cabbage rolls. The flowers are beautiful and used in cake decorating.
I'm going to H.I. tomorrow at 4 for the Kate benefit and could harvest it tomorrow morning and have it there if there's any takers.

You had me going to wikipedia as I had never heard of borage. It has all kinds of neat uses. From salad to teas, to decorating desserts. I would love to have some in my garden but am too fer away from ya.

Take some to Garden Bistro -- it won't go to waste but on a salad!

Good idea, Celeste! Patt and I had lunch there yesterday for the first time and we were highly impressed! Had a yumderful chicken/pineapple/pecan salad sandwich and a bowl of creamy garden vegetable soup. That and the flower pot bread made for a very satisfying and well rounded meal.
Do you have their phone number and I'll call to make sure they'll take it. Are they open for dinners, also?
