Hi TimeBankers,

The FatTire Festival was a great success, thanks in part to TimeBank volunteers, for which there was a definite need, so special thanks to all who participated. David Renko was most grateful.

UPCOMING EVENTS
Next Open Meeting, late August

The coordinating team has begun planning the next Open Meeting, which is being projected for late August, to be held at the Library Annex beginning at 6:30 PM. We don’t have a date yet, but will let you know asap.
For the first part of the meeting, we are going to be showing some videos about TimeBanks around the world. There are some wonderful, moving stories about people helping people and building community shared in these videos, made by the local chapters themselves, and we think you will be inspired and touched by them.
(We might want to think about making a video of our own to be displayed on YouTube with the others. It would make for a fun TimeBank project, and would definitely be good PR for Eureka Springs! )
We will also have a demonstration by some of our members of skills and services they are offering to other members. If you would like to be a demonstrator, or have a request for a demo you would like to see, please contact Patrice at mamakapa@yahoo.com .
Refreshments will be served and you are welcome to bring a dish to share (finger foods preferred.) Everyone is encouraged to bring their own cups and bowls.
All attendees will be awarded TimeBank hours for attending and participating.
More details to follow soon.

TIMEBANK FLOAT

This from Mary: “ It's time to start planning a float for the TimeBank. I believe the next E.S. parade is the Folk Festival and I'm thinking it takes place in October. So we should have plenty of time to make the ES TimeBank float a reality.”
If you have any ideas about what a TimeBank float might look like or how to construct it, please send us your feedback. If you are interested in helping with this project, please contact Mary Wise at robinr43@juno.com or call her at 479 363 9879. We think this could be a great project for some TimeBank kids to participate in, so please consider this if you are looking for some fun activities for your kids.
More details to follow soon.
