An old friend was looking for me, thinking of Arkansas as a 'maybe' location for a tv commercial....the only way she could find me was via "google"....and what popped up??
Geekfest http://www.geekfest.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
Her first words were, "so you're having a few issues with your mayor, huh? And you're still ranting and raving about something, aren't cha?"
Said she's bookmarked the site and is tempted to participate http://www.geekfest.com/ubb/smile.gif
Too Funny.

I can see it now the show could be called ...........
Each week a varying but determined group will prevail.
The next week new issue and folks who were friends are now mortal enemies.
Then tragedy strikes and we all come together and love thy neighbor.
A few weeks pass all love is forgotten and the game is back on.
All the intrigue of a drama, reality TV has nothing on us and we dont even get fabulous prizes!
Waaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!
I wanna be on a tv show or maybe have a star portray me on tv....... Now who would be me?

Well actually Becs, Neorealism was the natural way in Italy in 1945. There was no possibility of anything else. With Cinecittà in shambles, you had to shoot at the real location, with natural light, if you were lucky enough to have film. It was an art form invented by necessity. A neorealist was in reality any practical person who wanted to work.”
Hence the term Pacino or more fondly referded to as "special" as in a very
special Italian. (I just kinda made that sh*t up so he wouldn't be made at me for, forget it) Hope that answers that!

Thanks, White Bread, she can play me!
I have another suggestion for James, how about Richard Gere? Two sexy slightly gray haired men.
Ok, kids, I'm off to bed. I've been out, had many beers, blew my diet by stopping at Mickey D's on the way home and need to go wait for the hubby to come home from playing poker. He actually won tonight! Woo Hoo!
Nighty night!

Naw, James IS Pacino.
Lita's humor and talent - Bette Midler,
S&L's wit and intelligence - Lili Tomlin
At the moment - 2 6 Pac gets James Spader
And to remain totally "in Character"......
What do you get when you mix Freddie, from "Nightmare on Spring Street" and Martha Stewart on steroids ????
A mayor headache.

I don't know; wouldn't Pacino be too old?...how about Andy Garcia or Anthony La Paglia? Well, I'm terrible about actors ages anyway; I keep on forgetting that I'm aging right along with 'em....

Begging your forgiveness, dear sweetness.
I was thinking of Cathy smashing down that wall in Fried Green Tomatoes, bashing into the young driver that got her place...
But, you are right, Cher in the long, blonde, curly wig.
Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea culpa.
Can you forgive me?
Thanks Lucinda ! I LOVE Bette Middler ! (wish I did have her talent.......and her money)!
Although, I kinda picture myself as more of a Sally Field, in the movie "Norma Rae" type person. (she just doesn't sing karaoke)...lol.

I haven't had the pleasure of meeting Sweetness face-to-face, and I am absolutely sure she is a dead ringer for a younger better-looking Cher.
However, in keeping with her Geekfest persona, shouldn't she be more appropriately played by Miss Piggy? Think about it, Miss Piggy has that essential Kathy Bates quality PMilam is trying to capture, and she knows karote, too. Patt, just substitute Miss Piggy for Kathy Bates in that parking lot scene (maybe my all time favorite movie scene), and I think you'll agree...
S&L, (this is the lawyer in me)....I meant this only as a very high compliment, in the spirit of this thread; it just seemed such an OBVIOUS choice..... http://www.geekfest.com/ubb/wink.gif

Well, thank you Patt, Lucinda and OTR. Those women are all wonderfully witty and smart, BUT they don't have quite the physically bountiful beauty I possess (apparently, the beauty end of the gene pool in the pig sty was quite deep the year my mother was bred) and to be completely true to my character of geekfeistyness, she must also be a looker. Truly, I would prefer Mae West, as she had all of those attributes and more...including my attitude, but Ms. West sat in the sunset some time ago. Hence, Cher. Who could forget her attitude in "Moonstruck" when she slapped Nicholas Cage and ordered him to "snap out of it"? She's sassy and has had a few lifts, nips, tucks and implants installed (sadly, not enough implants to replicate my bod, but she'll do). She isn't quite my indescribable beauty...that was back in Ruben's time...oh, how I yearn for those days again when fat, plump, pudgy and piggy were the highest heights of beauty to attain.
But wouldn't Cher look dynamite in the Hupmobile crashing into those beastly teenage girls' car, telling them to get insurance and hurling chocolate covered peanut clusters at them?
Oh, hell! No one can play Sweetness like Sweetness. I shall play myself (forget it, 6pac...not even close, naughty minded boy).
P.S. Patt, of course you are forgiven. My fault for not recognizing the capabilities of Ms. Bates, especially in "Fried Green Tomatoes." How could I have thought such a thing of a fellow chocoholic, except you're losing weight so I'm supposing the chocolate has gone by the wayside. You know, of course, that dark chocolate is now on the list of things healthful to eat and on those supposed diets. I just love being healthful and can hardly wait for the new high carb/high protein diet to come out.
