Volunteer at EarthDance Eureka Springs and get free TimeBank hours!
Of course, you have to be a member of TimeBank first, but it's easy to join. (See the latest TimeBank update in the Sustainability forum for details, in the last section of the post, under Helpful TimeBank Links).
The yearly membership fee is $10, but it's voluntary and if you can't pay, it's OK.
It just helps defray the costs of the website, flyers, refreshments at meetings, etc.
Otherwise, there is no money involved at all.
It's all about giving and receiving services, and benefiting from volunteer work in the community, receiving TimeBank hours in exchange.
If you enjoy doing volunteer community work, the EarthDance Eureka event looks like it will be a lot of fun for kids of all ages and there are lots of volunteer slots open.
As a TimeBank volunteer, you get something extra in return for your efforts too; for one thing, you get TimeBank hours which can be exchanged for services from other TimeBank members.
You get access to the TimeBank website, where all the services are listed and you will receive an email update every week or so with all kinds of community news.
We have Open Meetings to all members every other month or so that are lots of fun, with free refreshments and a chance to see old friends and make new friends with other TimeBank members, becoming more a part of the sustainable community.
Following is a little information about Earthdance, our newest volunteer opportunity.
