Hi TimeBankers,
The Force must be with us...
We put out some ads in Geekfest on Saturday night, letting folks know that we needed new TimeBank Coordinators asap. By Sunday, three people had generously stepped up to offer their help! (See Section 2 for details.)
I think it's safe to say that with our newly expanded team, we will soon be able to do much more to make TimeBanking even more rewarding and fun for everyone!
We have two volunteer opportunities lined up for you so far for Septembe: EarthDance Eureka Springs and the Old Fashioned Penny Carnival. (See details in Section 3.)
Best wishes,
Natalie

Charitable entities are invited to provide family oriented games to be operated in Basin Park on those days. This is a great way to promote your organization, upcoming events & ongoing services!
Gather up your fishing poles, golf putters, penny pitches, beanbag tosses, etc. and join us for a day of fun and fundraising.”
TimeBank will have a table at this event, and if you would like to volunteer to be at our table at Basin Spring and talk to people about TimeBank, please let us know. You may have some ideas about how to make our table more entertaining, and we would love to hear them!

CREATE YOUR OWN VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY
You may have noticed in the New Transactions section that some members have been earning TimeBank hours by attending community meetings, giving talks for various groups, and so on. We want all members to understand that everyone in TimeBank can earn hours by giving community service, and you don't have to wait until the Coordinators have provided a Volunteer Opportunity. You can create your own!
If there is an event or meeting you would like to attend and participate in, or a service you would like to perform for the community to earn TimeBank hours, please let one of the Coordinators know what it is so we can approve it and help you record your hours. We can't guarantee that we will approve every request. (For example, singing at a Karaoke bar would not really be considered community service, however entertaining you might consider your performance to be! :)
But events that have to do with building community, essential services to others, especially as related to sustainability, are good candidates.
TimeBanking is different from regular banks in that we are HAPPY to give hours away, so please don't be shy!
