Ok so we all know I have a few screws loose, missing or never installed.
The fact remains Eureka Kids is inneed of sponsors, no amount of mediocre pizza sales, donation jars, special events, pleas to our town is going to meet all of our needs. People that have the ability to help in Eureka find themselves stretched to the limit. We have so many needs in our little hamlet that we just can't keep up.

Last nite I could not sleep (again) I kept thinking about the bills we have and the things we need, and the kids who come back again and again.
I just kept thinking there has got to be a way to reach lots of people with our message of hope for our kids and our funding plight.
It had to be very low cost. I have got to stop spending so much of our limited resources at home on Eureka Kids. It had to be easy and not require much follow up. I am just me and life can get overwhelming in Barb's shoes some days.
(Those of you who have waited days or weeks for me to call back know, Its not that I ditch you its that I am just one crazy person out to save the world.) It takes time to track me down and get me to focus on one thing at a time.
So I love selling on ebay. I love the way the internet spreads messages like wildfire. What I want every Geekfester to do is this.
Take this link from Ebay. It is for an auction of sponsorship for Eureka Kids. Send it to everyone and I mean everyone in your email addy book.
Give it a personal note so they do not hink it is spam and ask them to read it and see if they can do anything. Even if they pass it on to all of their addresses we will make a difference. Somewhere someone down the road has that 7 degrees of separation from Kevin Bacon that will get us to a person who can and will help us.

This is the ebay item number

5951600293

Please.

Happy Friday

Barb, I don't want to flame you or anyone else, (I actually want to congratulate you on your selfless work of love!). However, on EBay you say E.S. is a community of less than 2000 people. Your E.Kids group consists of 300 or more disadvantadged kids. Are there ANY kids then in your town that are not disadvantaged? How many kids are there in E.S.?

Good point. We serve kids from all of Eureka Springs and Western Carroll County.
Not all of the kids we serve are disadvantaged.
However as we state the kids we serve are from primarily disadvantaged homes.
There are over 700 youth in Eureka Springs schools. We serve over 300 of them. The ad space does not let you expound on that but....
If you post the question to me on Ebay I would be more than happy to explain that one so anyone else who may have that question can understand.
Because although we are phically located in this small town. Our youth service area is for the Rural area surrounding it as well.
Thank you for letting me try to expound on those definitions!
Oops I just learned we officially have 2278 people.
