Looking at the extended forecast it looks like we are going to finish the year with the crazy weather weve had all year.

Temps going into the 60's with spring like rain showers for New Years eve and day, crazy man, just simply crasy!!!!

Happy New Years and lets make the world a greener place next year!!!

Peace!!!!!

I was looking through the weather almanac at NOAA and it's been many years since we have had these mild temperatures going into January, I only hope we don't have to pay for it later.

With these mild conditions it does allow opportunity to get out and finish some of that raking, mulching and adding compost to the garden. By doing this you will be helping to promote better rooting of established plants and build a better soil for next Springs growing conditions.

Gardening doesn’t have to be a full time job, by doing the right things at the right time of the year will make your Summer a more relaxing period and your plants will be much more productive.

Our retail store is closed but we remain busy with landscaping, patios, raised planters and so-on. we are in and out of the garden center; morning, noon and night so if your in need of any supplies or need to make an appointment just leave your name and number on the recorder and will get back to you.

Remember; a Gardner that does the right things at the right time of the year is a more successful gardener

Happy New Year and we are looking forward to helping you create that oasis your dreaming of.

Happy Gardening!!!!

After that little bout with cold weather, I would be perfectly happy if it remains warm through the winter. Wish it would be mild year round.

Oh but Becky, if it didn't get cold we would be carried away by the ticks and all the other pesty insects.

I like the mild spells too 62 when I woke up at 4:30 am this morning, By the looks of it, we are going to be above average through new years. I just hope old man winter doesn't make us pay for it later!!

I think the bears are even confused this year becs.....

Kinda reminds me of growing up in Kansas, what do you think toto??? Not really I can't remember these kinds of weather patterns even in those days...

In the now going on 16th year livin in these here hills(valley)this is one of, if not the weirdest winters as for extreme weather changes I’ve witnessed.

91/92 winter was weird with the sporadic snow storms, remember January we had a 24" storm and February had an 18" storm, temps were up and down but I don't think anything like we are witnessing this year.
I was backhoeing yesterday and was attacked by a bunch wasp, have seen several snakes out warming themselves on rocks and hard surfaces, weird to say the least!!!!

Well the hits just keep on coming, 60's with "flashflood" watch today thru Wed, then temps falling into the 30's, and then 60's by the weekend.

Watch driving accross those low water bridges!!!

The tulips and crocus may be blooming by the weekend followed by the dogwoods, geez this is enough to drive an urban farmer to drinking!!!
