Rolling back bad taste

A Wal-Mart worker showed a photo of himself wearing only a sack.

A 65-year-old Wal-Mart greeter has been fired for greeting customers with a computer-generated photograph of himself wearing nothing but a Wal-Mart sack.
Dean Wooten was fired in September from his job as a greeter at the Muscatine Wal-Mart store where he had worked for seven years, state records show. He was accused of greeting customers with a picture of himself in which he appeared to be naked except for the carefully placed sack.
Wooten allegedly told customers that Wal-Mart was cutting back on expenses and that the sack represented the new employee uniform.

After some customers complained, a supervisor told Wooten not to display the picture. Five days later, after more customers complained, Wooten admitted he had brought the picture back to work and had been showing it again to customers. He was fired that day.
Wooten applied for unemployment benefits but was denied by Administrative Law Judge Susan Brightman, who ruled that "a reasonable person would know the act of showing a naked body wearing a Wal-Mart sack would not be good for the employer's business."

Wooten said he thought customers would find the photo amusing. It wasn't intended to be critical of Wal-Mart, he said.
"I didn't have nothing against Wal-Mart," he said. "A friend of mine got the photo of the body off the Internet, and he had a picture of me and he put my head on it. When I first seen it, I pretty near died laughing."

I KNOW you posted this just for me!

Seriously, I think its one of the BEST, most TRUTHFUL, things any employee could say about WALMART.

This is SO funny that I would almost send this to some friends we have who work for WalMart, but I'd hate any of them to get the same funny idea and try to pull that on themselves and end up fired. They'd all show up on MY doorstep looking for a place to live.

Wish someone had sent me this article back when I was a Wal-Mart employee (shhh...don't tell anybody http://www.geekfest.com/ubb/wink.gif It's a great idea! I tried all sorts of things to get fired, but they wouldn't bite, so I just had to quit. Would have been great to wear on the days I had to climb the tall ladder and bring mdse down from the top shelf or even shake paint or cut links of chain. Think that going up to the service desk when they called out my department to take back returned merchandise probably would have done the trick.
Oh well, just utterly grateful that I'm not there anymore and am planning on coming out of hiding soon for the shame I feel at stooping sooo low as to have even submitted an application. I was very weak and downtrodden at that time in my life...obviously.

Well, DaBee, a woman's gotta do what a woman's gotta do. Bless your heart for trying to work at WalMart.

I personally think the company should have blown this picture up and put it out front on the bulitan board and declared this man "WalMart Employee of the Month."
