As I was watching the news last night, listening to the usual stories of republicans verses democrats, I was intrigued about how politics are the same on the national level, as on the local level.

If something happens bad to one side, the other side is waiting there to gleefully throw more stones. It's exactly the same, no matter which side it happens to.

It's just human nature. When someone on our "side" has a problem or makes a mistake, we minimize the mistake and forgive them. But if someone on the other "side" has the very same problem we crucify them. It happens every time. It shows me that we are all the same.

I think if we could detatch ourselves from our human nature for just an instant we might laugh at the absurdity of it all.

There will always be problems to be solved and causes to stand up for. We can champion our causes, do the best we can, but if the other side "wins" just let it be.

Truth will always win if that's what we want. There will be Peace when everyone really wants Peace above all else. For this I am grateful.

Is there a possiblility for we who post on the gratitude journal to make a contribution to the community fund also? Just mark them gratitude contributions?

Absolutely, gratitude! In fact, we think that this is such a great idea that we'll make you a deal.

If you want make a contribution to the community fund in the name of Gratitude, Positive Idea will MATCH any contribution up to $1000.

If you're dontating to a community cause in the name of gratitude, you probably won't want to fill out a deposit slip for the "Abuse Fund." Just think of it as Community First Bank, account #10021

Mark your contribution as a "gratitude contribution" so we know it's one to be matched.

Wow! That's wonderful.
I was talking to a tourist lady the other day. It was after one of our rains where the air is so sweet and fresh. She looked at me and said very matter of factly, "You live in paradise". I couldn't disagree with her.
I don't have $1000 to donate. But I believe that gratitude of any amount, when it is matched, can do great things. Thanks!
