Beauty

I am so grateful for the beauty that surrounds me.
The beauty of family and friends, filled with lovingkindness. The beauty that is popping out, green, yellow, pink, purple and red all around. The beauty of my silly chickens, their iridescent feathers glistening in the sun.

I woke this morning, not seeing the beauty, feeling downhearted. Then I opened my email, and there was a letter by Clarissa Pinkola Estes, Ph.D.... I posted it as "A Reminder". It lifted my spirit and opened my eyes.

It's amazing to me that, when I get way down, someone, something reminds me, and I choose peace, again, and see the beauty all around me, renewed.

That and a good cup of Community coffee.

I am also grateful. There's nothing like new growth to make us want some, too!! I am thankful for the reminders that life is good. When in doubt, dig in the dirt!!
