Kim and I, and most of the staff of Positive Idea went to the Lumberyard tonight for the comedy shows...

THEY WERE FABULOUS! If you want a treat, take the time to attend tomorrow night.
These guys play all the big time places and tv too..and you can see them up front and personal right here in Eureka.

Thanks Keith for bringing great comedy acts to Eureka! You and your staff are doing a first class job.

Now come on folks..by all the stuff I'm reading on this board, you ALL need to get a bit of comic relief and a new perspective if only for an evening. (or at the very least, some new material)

You too Royal, comb that great hair of yours and go let it down a bit.

Moyer, you don't have that much hair, but a good belly laugh might do you some good.

S&L, can you stop oinking your way through chocolate long enough to have some fun?

Keith, I know you did a special deal for locals tonight, but if the real local loonies show up tomorrow night is there some special for them too?

Come on folks..go laugh, turn off the computers, the tv and especially all those city meetings/plans/agendas.

The shows are really good..go enjoy Eureka.

The LOCAL deal will be repeated- Thanks for coming out all you PIM type people, and the 80 others who got their giggles on tonight!

ALSO- The Tyson vs. Lewis Fight will be on TV at no extra charge tomorrow night! I am not a fight fan, but this one has my attention, because I really do not like Tyson, and want to see him... well, lose! http://www.geekfest.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

The comics were really good tonight! I am sure that it was a warm up for an even better night tomorrow night!

speaking of warm up we were freezing in there last night and told no real way to control it so any one going (especially ladies in halters might want to bring something. Keith you do go out of your way to make things happen and thank you for taking such good care of your customers. Just wondering when you're going to get locks on the ladies bathroom doors? Having someone peek in the little cut out in the door to see if anyone is in there is kinda embarrassing.

I will cuss my contractor on Monday- I did not realize there were not locks on the bathroom doors, and we were supposed to have smoked glass on the little windows by now- that was just one of my carpenters trying to be clever (outhouse effect) we will block over them temporarily tonight-

I will also head to walmart right now and get clasps- I AM EMBARASSED, AND APOLOGIZE (I try not to spend any time in ladies bathroom except to clean it after closing ya'know!)

THE AC can be controlled and I will try to watch that tonight- it is just if we do not get it cool before the crowd gets in there at night, the A.C. has to play catch up all night- I will get it managed tonight FOR YOU!

Keith, I would like to congratulate you. It is so very refreshing to hear and see a business owner act so positively, and quickly, to problems that arise with their establishment. Wow! I'm impressed at your willingness to go that extra TEN miles to make sure your patrons are happy and well tended to.

Between you and Lita, I do believe we have a new order in Eureka Springs, and that is meant as a really positive compliment.

And no, it is not a backways slap at anyone else. I have watched how easily a person can get herself in trouble simply by complimenting someone on one of these boards so I try to behave. But gee, you two REALLY stand out.

I was going to say the same thing, but I was afraid to. It really impressed me that Keith would go to such great lengths to help. And I don't work for Keith or want to slam any other place in town. Keep up the good work, Keith.

I FINALLY got to sneak away from work last night and go to the Lumberyard. Sorry it took so long Keith. GREAT PLACE ! I love those mirrors you have in the bar ! Eureka has needed a sports bar for a long time. The Lumberyard is the perfect place. I got a phone call at the Copa yesterday from the Basin, saying there were several people wanting to know if they could watch the fight last night. I immediatley knew where to send people. I only could stay about 30 minutes then had to go back to work. I will definetly be back to your place Keith, it is just a matter of finding the time. You did a great job with the place and I wish you the best !

Two great ideas:

Geekfest "Can't we all just get along night" - as derived from Jan's prompts. How about next comedy night, July 12th (Friday night) anyone who emails me their GEEKFEST name/identity at info@lumberyardsaloon.com will get in free! All temper tantrums, politics, religion, etc... ON HOLD for a few hours, and just a little community for a change! I will confirm your membership to geekfest with PIM. Oh... and if you do not want to come alone for free- any guests you bring will be only 5 bucks (half off)!

Seating is limited, so mark your calendars now! - Oh the the comic is Rik Roberts from TNN and the Grand Ol' Opry- he is also on tons of specials and the Bob & Tom radio show from time to time! SOOO NO EXCUSES FOR NOT HAVING FUN!

Next.... Baby Boomer night is being planned - how about a "Sock Hop"? Anyone interested in heading this up? I am a bit behind on that era- but will "twist", do the "swim" and the "mashed potato" with ya just the same! Watch for it on the website.

OH & LITA- you rock gal! Thanks for the support, and having a great place as well. Congrats on 1 year in business! I always enjoy hanging out at the Copa! http://www.geekfest.com/ubb/smile.gif

I actually am enjoying the night life in our little burg- not just in my place, but that variety that is available at the 5 or 6 spots that are trying hard to make it a viable entertainment district!

Work Hard - Play Hard!
