wow, people are so quick to complain, yet the gratitude forum is so sparse.

Actually, Jeni - there are 249 threads that have been started on the Gratitude Journal, going back to 2000. Check this out: http://www.geekfest.com/forumdisplay.php?63-Gratitude-Journal&s=&pp=20&daysprune=-1&sort=dateline&order=asc
Threads are started here quite thoughtfully and there are not as many folks involved as in the Open Forum. There have been some mighty involved discussions, also, though not much lately. See:http://www.geekfest.com/showthread.php?37890-Gratitudinally-Speaking&highlight=gratitudinally+speaking , which has 24,218 views and 1,787 responses.
So glad to see that you've found us here and hopefully will be a regular contributor. Maybe some of our old Gratitudinors will be back and new folks like yourself will jump right on in!
I am feeling gratitude for you, Jeni.

Like Minnie Pearl used to say, "I'm just so proud to be here." Had I gotten what I deserve I'd be happy to be anywhere but Eureka is a little bit of Paradise.

I am thankful for the air I'm breathing, and I am thankful I'm not afraid to breathe it. I am thankful for a fridge full of food, a good warm fire, healthy pets. I'm thankful for friends. Real ones. I'm thankful for a kind and understanding husband. I'm thankful for safe water. I'm thankful I sold some old Barbie stuff today. I'm on a mission to clear out clutter, one day at a time. I'm thankful that I took a step. I know there are a lot of things wrong in the world right now, a lot of things which are causing people to lose hope and become fearful. I'm thankful for a safe haven where we can take a look at good things, things to be thankful for.

That our young people in Eureka are smart and brave and funny and stand up for love and against hate and bullying.

Grateful for; My Dad's progress and willingness to work hard to recover. This time it's been a 12 month slog for him. He's my hero.
There's a bunch more things but today - this tops my list.

Thankful for the ability to see that I am responsible for the path that my life takes....that I alone have the ability to know what to pick up and what to leave beside the road.

Grateful for those that understand that there is so MUCH to be grateful for!
(including those that won't criticize me for ending a sentence in a preposition!)

Today.. I am grateful for being able to have a procedure in the small hospital in Berryville, where I know most of the employees, and feel like I'm with extended family hands. And for my whole family.. loving kind.. loving.
