Paparazzi Alert: A bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck is still scheduled for noon sharp on Saturday, upholding a fine old Diversity Weekend tradition.
But, Master of Ceremonies/DJ/songmeister Bryan Manire will be spinning some discs of LGBT Pride songs starting at 11:15 a.m. as the park crowd wanders in.
After his official welcome at 11:30, the playlist will include traditional Freedom songs.
Next, there will be a moving tribute to the late Linda K. Wilson, the life partner of Diversity Pride's Deborah Rose, with brief remarks by Trella Laughlin, Joney Harper and Alvin Byrd and a special song by Jori Costello.
As high noon approaches, Bryan and Mary Diehl will lead a sing-along of the classic protest song, "We Are A Gentle, Angry People," also known as "Singing For Our Lives."
