    Default Ants are taking over my house

    OK I have tried all the natural stuff, but I have HAD IT! The little bastards have now gotten into my lotion and such in my bathroom.

    Anyone know of a good exterminator.

    I have the same problem. My latest defense works as a stop gap. I am allergic to mold, so I keep a spray bottle of bleach water. Kills them instantly. I also keep everything in the kitchen that is open in plastic containers with lids.

    Ants, ticks, chiggers and other bugs seem to be really prolific this summer.

    Queenie, I've had excellent results with this:

    Heat a small amount of Karo corn syrup (white - any brand will do) a few tablespoons.

    Heat to almost boiling, remove from heat. Add an equal (approx.) amount of Borax (find this in the laundry section of most stores) and stir until it dissolves. Before the mixture solidifies, put a teaspoon or so on a piece of paper, place the paper wherever you see the ants.
    ~~~~~~~~
    After trying virtually every brand of bug spray (like Raid) with no positive results, I did this. I was close to burning the house down just to get rid of the damned ants.
    This worked for me. I left little pieces of paper with this concoction around the kitchen, in the lower cabinets and a few on the counter. No more ants!!
    Hope this helps.
    If you don't want to bother with Yip's solution buy Terro. It does the same thing.
    I second Lilli, I've used Terro also. They will take the bait back to the rest of the ants & kill them ALL. My experence is it takes about 2 days & their all gone.
